Our organization approaches project implementation through a participatory and collaborative approach. We engage with stakeholders, beneficiaries, and partners to design and implement projects that are responsive to local needs and priorities. We strive for sustainability and impact by building local capacity and ensuring ownership of the project by the community. Our projects are evidence-based, and we use data and feedback to continually improve our approach. We also prioritize monitoring, evaluation, accountability, research, and learning to measure progress and assess the effectiveness of our interventions. Overall, our approach is grounded in a commitment to promoting social and economic development that is inclusive, equitable, and sustainable.

Our Past & Current Projects

GREEN BANC

Green Banc is an upcoming Green financing credit platform set to launch in 2024. The project aims to provide affordable access to sustainable energy solutions in rural Ghana, with a focus on financing energy improvements for homes, farms, and agribusinesses. Through a Results-Based Financing (RBF) scheme, Farmers can invest in solar-powered equipment and pay back with farmer products or cash after harvesting and selling their products. Green Banc will actively approach potential customers in rural areas to offer financing for a range of products, including solar-powered machines, refrigerators, pumps, home lighting systems, and appliances. By working with customers in the same geographical area, installation and maintenance become less expensive. With a vision to make every home, farmer or agribusiness sustainable, Green Banc aims to support the solar market development in rural zones through an RBF mechanism. The project seeks to make paying for solar easy, fast, and affordable, providing finance options for those at the bottom of the wealth pyramid. With a target of 1 million solar-powered farms, homes, and businesses, Green Banc is poised to transform the renewable energy market in rural areas of Ghana. Partners and grants can support the project to provide clean energy solutions to low-income households and improve their living conditions.

MY VSLA

Our pilot project on Village Savings and Loan Association (VSLA) in Dorongo in 2017 aimed to provide access to financial services and increase financial literacy for community members. The project formed a VSLA group with 30 members and trained them on financial management, savings, and loan processes. Members were able to save and access small loans to invest in income-generating activities. The project also facilitated linkages between the VSLA group and financial institutions. At the end of the project, members were able to increase their savings and generate income to support their livelihoods.

THE FARMER BUSINESS SCHOOL

The Farmer Business School Project was a six-month initiative aimed at equipping farmers with the necessary knowledge and skills to run profitable agricultural businesses. Through the project, farmers were trained on bookkeeping and best agricultural practices to increase yields and profitability. The project also aimed to improve access to markets and financing for farmers. With support from local partners and experts, the Farmer Business School Project helped to improve the livelihoods of smallholder farmers in the target communities by promoting sustainable agricultural practices and entrepreneurship.

THE SDGs SCHOOL PROJECT

The SDGs School Club Project was a three-year project aimed at engaging young people in Ghana to contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030. With funding from the European Union, IAD Ghana(former Hope Faith Foundation) partnered with 8 schools in the Upper East Region to establish SDGs school clubs, with the aim of educating and mobilizing young people to take action towards achieving the SDGs. The project included training for club members on the SDGs and how to effectively advocate for their achievement. By the end of the project, over 200 students had been trained and were actively involved in SDGs advocacy in their schools and communities. The project successfully promoted youth-led initiatives towards the SDGs and empowered young people to be agents of change.
